Build and then put your ?mic?o?mic? Tow Truck to work. This friendly world of colors and shapes makes a wonderful world for a playful imagination. These solve and play puzzle kits have won dozens of awards for innovation and design. Mic-O-Mic construction toys are designed and manufactured in Germany to CE (en71) standards. The patented assembly system uses plugs and flexible clips. All the toys are colored yellow, green, blue and red, with the plugs being the same colors but the flexible clips are black to provide even more contrast. There are no written instructions - just a few pictures to help you on your way. Because the plugs are such a tightly engineered fit, strong thumbs are needed to fully insert them, so younger children probably would need adult help with assembly. Each kit comes with a plug extractor as it is almost impossible to remove the plugs without this tool. The beginner models are suitable for 6-8 year olds and up to adults (many adults are avid collectors). The intermediate and advanced models are suitable for 8-10 year olds and up to adults. These toys are designed to develop fine motor skills, cognitive skills, and interpersonal skills (help from friends and adults will create conversations about how to complete the assembly correctly). They also give great visual tactile pleasure by the use of bright colors and by being so beautifully textured that they feel like wood instead of the heavy plastic of which they are made. There are no sharp corners or edges on which a child could cut themselves. These look good, like small works of art, and are for play and display. They comply with European safety standards CE / En71 so there is no lead and no phthalates.
