C3229 The Corvettle L88 driven by Scuderia Filipinetti raced in the 1968 and 1969 24 Hours of Le Mans, leading its class at first, but unable to finish both races due to mechanical errors. It wasn't until the early 70's that this Corvette began to dominate at Le Mans placing as high as 18th place but pulling in a second place in its class. The #3 car does hold the record at Le Mans for the most single chassis starts with a total of six. The Scalextric slot car was made exclusively for distribution in the United States. The details of the model represent the car as it is today. This car is can be converted to run on the Scalextric Digital system using the C7006 Digital Retro-fit (Saloon) kit. Installation of the retro-fit chip does require some soldering. Features: -1:32 Scale slot car. -Working head and rear lights. -Includes detail interior. -Easy change pick-ups. -Magnatraction system.
